YOUR TASKS:
- Must be able to inspect all product lines and consistently know which standards to apply to which product lines
- Must be able to shrink fit tools
- Must show ability to read and understand a print or sketch, including applicable GD&T
- Ability to understand and effectively execute information, verbal instructions, written procedures, and directions on the traveler router
- Ability to use all required measuring instruments including Zoller and Kelch
- Ability to access SAP and accurately perform necessary entries
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting datta into quality database
- Proposing improvements to the production process
- Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
- Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
- Verify all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly
- Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized and clean to MAPAL standards
- Exceed and exhibit all MAPAL behaviors as defined by policy, procedure and standards
YOUR PROFILE:
- Positive, "can do" approach and attitude
- 3+ years education, experience, OJT program or equivalent within the precision cutting tool environment
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability/use of precision measurement equipment to required tolerances and MAPAL standards
- Detail oriented and skilled in understanding process workflow. Proficiency in reading and understanding Engineering drawings and instructions. Demonstrated experience with metal cutting principles.
