Dans le domaine du fraisage, les experts MAPAL ont élaboré au cours des dernières années de nombreuses solutions d’usinage, concentrant leurs efforts pour trouver l’outil adapté aux desiderata des clients. Outre ces solutions sur mesure, l’utilisation d’outils standard joue un rôle essentiel dans de nombreuses applications. Une vaste gamme d’outils standard est donc née de ces outils spéciaux.

Le programme standard radial d'outils de fraisage NeoMill de MAPAL comporte des fraises à planer, à dresser, à rainurer, en bout et à grande avance et garantit une productivité et une rentabilité élevées, en particulier pour la fabrication en série. Le développement de ce programme s'appuie sur notre longue expertise dans la conception d'outils spéciaux permettant aux industriels de fabriquer un très grand nombre de pièces d'une qualité toujours constante.

MAPAL propose également un large choix de plaquettes amovibles positives et négatives pour toutes les fraises. À cette gamme s'ajoutent les arêtes de coupe avec Wiper permettant d'obtenir de bonnes qualités de surface, même sans effectuer de réglage. Cet effet est visible plus particulièrement lors des opérations de semi-finition.

    Pour toutes les applications

    MAPAL propose l’outil correspondant à chaque opération de fraisage : d’une part la fraise à rainurer monobloc et d’autre part la fraise avec plaquettes réglables. Tous les fraisages (rainurage, surfaçage, dressage, ébauche et finition ou les fraisages spéciaux trochoïdal ou hélicoïdal) peuvent être réalisés à l’aide d’outils à la pointe de la technologie.

    Custom solutions

    Special machining tasks require special tools. For this reason MAPAL offers custom milling tools individually tailored to the requirements of the customer. For instance , complex shapes and contours can be realised using specifically designed milling cutters, or machining times and tools changes reduced using combination tools.

    High-performance coatings

    A crucial criterion for the service life of the tool and optimal machining results is the coating of the cutting edges. MAPAL offers a large selection of substrates and coatings, each matched to the specific machining case, some of which are applied in its state-of-theart in-house coating plant.

    Latest manufacturing equipment

    The latest 3D design and simulations form the basis for the manufacture of MAPAL tools. The data are transferred via interfaces to the related machining centre that forms part of the modern, comprehensive range of machinery available on-site. In this way the production of MAPAL milling tools for the highest quality requirements is monitored and controlled by experienced staff.

    Reconditioning in original quality

    By reconditioning solid carbide tools with original grinding and original coating, almost 100 % of the tool life of new tools can be achieved again. Upon request, MAPAL will collect and deliver the tools for quick processing. The milling head management service for PCD face milling cutters guarantees precise, reliable tools as well as 24-hour availability on-site.

The high-performance end milling cutter programme OptiMill from MAPAL ensures excellent, reliable results during all machining tasks. The focus is on cost-effectiveness and product quality, along with meeting customer requirements.

The end milling cutter programme from MAPAL includes shoulder milling cutters for groove milling, roughing, finishing and trochoidal milling, as well as milling cutters for high feed milling, profile milling and chamfering.

Additional set-up costs are saved with the replaceable head milling cutter programme CPMill. Due to the easy, safe handling, the milling heads can be replaced directly in the machine tool.

High removal rates, defined surface roughnesses or special requirements on the flatness of the part – the face milling cutter program with PCD milling cartridges is designed for the high-performance machining of non-ferrous metals. Setting to the μ ensures perfect surface finishes on all series. Significant cost savings can be realised due to reliable, fast, precise reconditioning with the MAPAL Maintenance Service for face milling heads.

​​​​​​​Milling cutters with indexable inserts exhibit their strengths on machining steel and cast iron. In particular the milling cutters with tangentially embedded cutting edges produce excellent machining results and achieve long tool lives due to the reduced cutting forces. Depending on requirements, milling cutters with close or expanded spacing can be selected. A comprehensive program of ISO indexable inserts with high-performance cutting materials is available ex-stock.
