MAPAL donates 2,100 euros for the Radio 7 dragon children

Campaign supports sick, disabled and traumatized children

With a donation of 2,100 euros, MAPAL Dr. Kress KG supports the Radio 7-Drachenkinder campaign in financing projects and ideas that primarily benefit sick, disabled and traumatized children.

Since its launch in 2005, the “Dragon Children” have already been able to pledge financial support to more than 10,000 institutions, organizations, schools, projects and families in the broadcasting area of the Ulm-based radio station. MAPAL Dr. Kress KG had already made generous donations to the Drachenkinder in the past and transferred four-figure sums to the good cause.

The whole thing was initiated at the Aalen-based precision tool specialist by an employee who started to collect donations for the campaign from his colleagues. He quickly had the works council on his side - this significantly increased the willingness of employees to donate.

Money was also collected at MAPAL for the current donation - in the form of proceeds from the sale of roasted almonds at the company's Christmas market. “We don't want to enrich ourselves with these proceeds. That's why we prefer to donate it to a good cause - because then the money goes directly to those who really need it,” says Dr. Jochen Kress, Managing Partner of MAPAL.

At the donation cheque handover at MAPAL's Aalen site, Ursula Schuhmacher, the project manager for the Radio 7 Dragon Children, emphasized the importance of donations like the one from MAPAL. “With every donation, we can provide targeted help for the children and their families. We are very grateful for this.”
