Driveline
The driveline is a core system in vehicles and ensures the transfer of the engine's drive energy into the vehicle's kinetic energy. Increasing electrification and new drive concepts are placing greater demands on driveline components. Due to optimised efficiency and reduced fuel consumption, the tolerance requirements are being tightened further, among other things. Whether combustion engine or purely electric drive, the driveline will be a central part of developments in the coming years. Topics such as lightweight construction and modern materials must be mastered with process reliability in high production volumes. One example is the integration of the gearbox into the e-axles in a multi-stage design.
