OptiMill-Uni-HPC: Milling for Automated Processes

The third generation of the solid carbide milling cutter OptiMill-Uni-HPC has been developed for reliable machining of steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Three variants – short/long without chip splitter and long with chip splitter – cover a wide range of applications. A new cutting material with high toughness, a wear-resistant coating, and optimized geometry ensure dependable results.

NeoMill-16-Finish: Surface Quality and Dimensional Accuracy in Series Production

The new finishing cutter meets the highest demands in series production of steel and cast materials. The finishing inserts are easy to adjust, and surface qualities of up to Rz 4 µm can be achieved. The combination of a 16-edged roughing insert and an 8-edged finishing insert ensures stable processes, long tool life, and low unit costs.

NeoMill-Alu-Rough: High-Performance Roughing of Aluminum

Large chip spaces, tangential indexable inserts, and a wide selection of cutting materials such as PCD, CVD diamond, or coated carbide enable high chip volumes with minimal vibration. The cutter is ideally suited for structural components, chassis parts, and housings in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries.

Chip Breaker Geometry for Fine Boring Inserts: Controlled Chip Formation for Long-Chipping Steels

MAPAL presents a completely new approach to chip breaking in the field of fine boring tools. It combines precisely defined lead and rake angle geometry with optimally matched cutting parameters and depths of cut. This precise coordination enables perfect chip formation, even with demanding materials. The result: optimal chip evacuation, reduced heat generation, and significantly increased process stability.

UNISET-V basic plus: Precise Adjustment Technology for Large Tools

For large fine boring tools up to 400 mm diameter and 45 kg weight, the new manual adjustment device offers micrometer-precise and easy handling. The stable welded construction with modular design is particularly robust and flexible, allowing use both in the setting room and directly at the machine.

UNIQ DirectCool: Intelligent Cooling for Stable Processes

Three integrated cooling channels in the DirectCool option provide precise, decentralized cooling along the tool shank to the cutting edge. The technology improves surface quality, reduces thermal deformation, and prevents tool breakage.

Pilot Drills & Boring Tools for Fluid Technology: Holistic Machining of Hydraulic Components

MAPAL expands its solution portfolio for machining hydraulic components, enabling precise pre-machining of various casting conditions. Targeted internal cooling ensures long tool life and clean chip separation – perfectly matched to the subsequent fine machining.

HPR400 & HPR400 plus: Four New Solutions for Maximum Productivity

MAPAL expands the modular HPR400 system for highly productive reaming of large diameters. The inserts can be changed on-site without adjustment effort. New additions to the program include:

•    A combination tool with ISO pre-machining stage and HPR400 plus system for finish machining with high allowances;
•    A combination tool with reaming and burnishing stages for machining hydraulic tubes;
•    HPR400 plus solution for face grooves;
•    HPR400 tools with PCD inserts for highly productive machining of stator housings.
