Great interest shown in MAPAL's annual press conference
Fiscal year 2024, forecast for 2025, innovations and solutions as well as different presentations on segments and customer productivity were key topics
Dr. Jochen Kress presented the company’s financial figures for the 2024 fiscal year and offered a cautious outlook for the current 2025 fiscal year. He also outlined the key focus areas for the year and announced investments totaling 25 million euros across the entire group.
The overarching message of the 2024–2025 business report: The MAPAL Group is consistently aligning itself with the future—through investments in new technologies, digitalization, and the targeted development of capabilities. This strategic direction strengthens the company’s position in key industries and accelerates its responsiveness to market and customer needs.
A testament to ongoing innovation and development was the presentation by Tobias Stolz, Component Manager General Machining at MAPAL. He shared several success stories from the company’s focus market segments, all aimed at one goal: increasing customer productivity. To achieve this, MAPAL develops standardized processes for the industrial production of specific components and adapts tool solutions to meet individual requirements.
Customer productivity was also the central theme of the presentation by Stephan Köstler, Global Head of Machines and Services. At MAPAL, product innovations have always aimed to enhance and support customer productivity. The company is now taking its service offerings a step further by providing complete turnkey solutions—from process design to achieving process capability.
André Ranke, Regional Sales Manager, presented a production-ready solution for the complete machining of a stator housing for e-mobility. This was developed in collaboration with the Chemnitz-based machine tool manufacturer NILES-SIMMONS. Suppliers and OEMs are now using this solution to efficiently produce components for the drives of battery-electric and hybrid vehicles from major automotive manufacturers.
Dr. Dirk Sellmer, Head of Research and Development, introduced the innovations and solutions MAPAL will showcase at EMO 2025 in Hannover this September. Highlights include the third generation of the OptiMill-Uni-HPC solid carbide milling cutter, new developments in the HPR400 reaming system, a new option for the UNIQ hydraulic expansion technology, and the premiere of a new setting device for large fine boring tools.
