Dr. Jochen Kress stellte die Unternehmenszahlen des Geschäftsjahrs 2023 und seine Prognose für 2024 vor und erläuterte die Schwerpunkte des laufenden Jahres.

Im kommenden Jahr macht MAPAL seine Kompetenz in der Aluminiumbearbeitung zum Schwerpunkt. Dazu erläuterte zunächst Matthias Winter, Global Head of Segment Management, warum für erfolgreiche Prozesse neben einem umfassenden Produktportfolio ein tiefes Verständnis für den Werkstoff und seine Legierungen, die Kundenbranchen und die einzelnen Komponenten von entscheidender Bedeutung sind. Mit cleverem Engineering nutzt MAPAL diese Kompetenz, um für und mit seinen Kunden prozesssichere und wirtschaftliche Bearbeitungsprozesse umzusetzen. Die Strategie, vom Markt und den Komponenten ausgehend Lösungen anzubieten, präsentierten die Komponentenmanager Michael Kucher, Igor Ivankovic und Tobias Stolz für die Bereiche Elektromobilität, Fahrwerk & Bremsen sowie Pneumatik.

The innovations and solutions that MAPAL is launching at AMB 2024 were presented by Product Managers Michael Villwock and Dr Wolfgang Baumann. The focus was on a new connection for replaceable head milling systems, which far surpasses existing systems, particularly in terms of handling and cooling.

The utilisation of all data generated during machining enables companies to increase their productivity by up to ten percent. Stephan Köstler, Global Head of Machines and Services, presented this result of the large-scale research project PRODaaS as well as an outlook on the potential uses of the business model developed in the project.

Live machining and an exhibition of the tools and solutions presented throughout the day as well as in-depth discussions on the topics with the colleagues from R&D and product management successfully rounded off the MAPAL press conference in the R&D centre.
