New milling tools for maximum efficiency in series production

MAPAL offers new solutions for semi-finishing and finishing operations with NeoMill-16-Finish and NeoMill-16-Face

MAPAL is expanding the NeoMill milling cutter product range in the areas of semi-finishing and finishing of steel and cast-iron materials as well as roughing of aluminium components.

Just in time for EMO 2025 in Hanover, MAPAL expanded the NeoMill milling program with three new series specifically tailored to the requirements of series production: NeoMill 16 Finish, NeoMill 16 Face, and NeoMill Alu Rough. All three milling cutter series stand for high cost-effectiveness and process reliability as well as sustainable manufacturing – seamlessly integrating into the existing portfolio.”

NeoMill-16-Finish: Face milling cutters for next-level finishing

The NeoMill-16-Finish was developed for finishing tasks where requirements on surface finish and dimensional accuracy are high. With the combination of the pre-machining insert ONMU05 with 16 cutting edges and the OFGW07indexable insert with eight cutting edges for finishing, MAPAL offers a unique system with complete process reliability. The face milling cutters are available in standard sizes in the diameter range from 63 to 200 mm and enable easy setting of the finishing inserts. This makes surface qualities of up to Rz 4 µm possible.

NeoMill-16-Face: Efficiency in pre-machining for face milling

Für die Vorbearbeitung ergänzt der NeoMill-16-Face das Portfolio. Auch hier steht die Wirtschaftlichkeit im Fokus: Die ONMU05-Platte mit 16 Schneidkanten sorgt für geringe Kosten pro Bauteil und eine stabile Bearbeitung. Die Werkzeuge sind in Durchmessern von 32 bis 125 mm erhältlich und eignen sich besonders für die Serienfertigung von Guss- und Stahlbauteilen mit geringen Aufmaßen (bis 2 mm).

NeoMill-Alu-Rough: Flexibilität für die Aluminiumzerspanung

Mit dem Eckfräser und Walzenstirnfräser NeoMill-Alu-Rough bietet MAPAL eine innovative Lösung für das Schruppen von Aluminiumgussbauteilen in den Branchen Automobil, Luftfahrt und Maschinenbau. Im Standardbereich stehen einreihige Fräser mit Durchmessern von 50 bis 160 mm zur Verfügung, mehrreihig erhältlich sind die NeoMill-Alu-Rough als Walzenstirnfräser mit den Durchmessern 63, 80 und 100 mm. Zusätzlich sind kundenspezifische Werkzeuglösungen konfigurierbar. Die Kombination aus großen Spanräumen, tangentialen Wendeschneidplatten und einer breiten Auswahl an Schneidstoffen (PKD, beschichtetes oder unbeschichtetes Hartmetall, CVD-Diamant) sorgt für eine sichere Spanabfuhr und hohe Stabilität – auch bei großen Spanvolumina.
