62 young talents start their careers
The 2024 training year in the MAPAL Group
62 apprentices started their training at the MAPAL Group's German sites at the beginning of September or already in mid-August and are now looking forward to an exciting and instructive time. Dr Michael Fried, Chief Human Resources Manager, emphasises the importance of training at MAPAL: “We attach great importance to training our junior staff ourselves and thus countering demographic change to a certain extent. To this end, we have a training organisation with an experienced team of full-time trainers and state-of-the-art facilities. We can ensure a smooth transition of our trainees into the company after the end of their training by ideally tailoring their in-company qualification.”
MAPAL provides training in traditional occupational fields with very good future prospects. 51 of the 62 trainees are learning a technical trade, such as cutting machine operator or industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, machine and plant operator or precision tool mechanic. Seven prospective industrial clerks, one warehouse logistics specialist and three IT specialists complete the 2024 training year. At the beginning of October, four young people will also start a dual study programme at MAPAL.
In addition to the headquarters in Aalen, new apprentices also started their training at the centres of competence in Altenstadt, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Eppingen, Meiningen, Pforzheim and Winterlingen. Around 300 trainees worldwide are currently learn a profession in the MAPAL Group.
Traditionally, the new trainees are given an easy start. After an onboarding day, where they learn lots of interesting facts about training and the company, they go to a training camp or a team event with their trainers and HR managers to get to know each other right at the start of their career at MAPAL.
