MFA Setup

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an additional security method that ensures that only you can log in to your account. It requires at least 2 authentication methods - your password and another piece of information (Microsoft Authenticator App).

This guide will help you set up and register MFA.

1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app

Get the app on your phone
Scan the QR code with your Android or iOS mobile device and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Note: Don’t disable Push Notifications the MFA App requires this functionality.
 

2. Logon to the SuccessFactors Application outside the MAPAL Network

1.    Visiting the SuccessFactors URL: mapal.com/sf will take you to the SuccessFactors login page.

2.    Log in to SuccessFactors with your MAPAL user and password as you normally do.

3.    After you choose Sign in, you'll be prompted for more information. 

4.    The default authentication method is to use the free Microsoft Authenticator app. If you have it installed on your mobile device, select Next and follow the prompts to add this account. If you do not have it installed, scan the QR code on the right side of the page.

If you do not have the app installed, scan the QR code from Chapter 1.

5.    Click Next.
6.    Launch the mobile app and choose Add an account. 
7.    Then select work or school account.
8.    Present the QR code on your screen to the app.
 
9.    Scannen Sie den auf dem Bildschirm angezeigten QR-Code mit der Microsoft Authenticator-App. Nach dem erfolgreichen Hinzufügen klicken Sie auf Weiter.

10.    Sie erhalten eine Benachrichtigung in Ihrer Authenticator-App. Dort müssen Sie den Code eingeben, den Sie auf Ihrem Bildschirm sehen. Nach erfolgreicher Eingabe klicken Sie auf Ihrem mobilen Gerät auf Ja und auf Ihrem Computer auf Weiter.

11.    Klicken Sie auf Weiter.
12.    Klicken Sie auf Fertig, um Ihre MFA-Konfiguration abzuschließen.

3. Anmeldung nach der MFA-Registrierung

1.    Aufruf der SuccessFactors URL: mapal.com/sf gelangen Sie zur Anmeldung auf der SuccessFactors Seite.

2.    Melden Sie sich bei SuccessFactors mit Ihrem MAPAL Benutzer und Ihrem Kennwort an, wie Sie normalerweise vorgehen. 

3.    Geben Sie die zweistellige Nummer, die Sie auf dem Bildschirm sehen, zur Verifizierung in der Authenticator-App ein. Anschließend werden Sie wie gewohnt angemeldet.

4. So wechseln Sie auf ein neues Mobiltelefon

Bevor sie ein neues Mobiltelefon registrieren, empfehlen wir, Löschen Sie alte oder nicht mehr benötigte Authentifizierungsmethoden aus Ihrem Konto.

1.    Öffnen Sie die Authenticator-App und klicken Sie auf das Konto, das Sie entfernen möchten.

2.    Klicken Sie auf Einstellungen (Zahnradsymbol) in der oberen rechten Ecke.

3.    Klicken Sie auf Konto entfernen
Hinweis: Um ein neues Mobiltelefon einzurichten und die Anmeldung bei SuccessFactors außerhalb des MAPAL Netzwerkes durchzuführen, fahren Sie mit den oben beschriebenen Schritten in Kapitel 2. Anmeldung bei SuccessFactors außerhalb des MAPAL Netzwerkes mit ihrem neuen Mobiltelefon fort.
