The Fountain Inn site, located in the Foothills of South Carolina, was founded in 2013 as the Centre of Competence for solid carbide tools and for the aerospace industry based there. 
The employees here take care of the manufacturing and reconditioning of PCD and solid carbide tools.

The state-of-the-art production unit is supported by Customer Service, Design & Engineering, Human Resources and Production Planning. Both new tools and repair/regrinding services are offered for the American markets. Tool designs and process layouts are developed, and proposal documentations are processed locally by the US teams.

A total of 175 employees work for MAPAL in the USA.
